Bryan Sharp posted a shutout, stopping all 24 of the Bozeman Icedogs shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead early in the first on a goal from Payton Mcsharry and never looked back.
Michael Houlihan had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Matt Janke delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).
During the first, Mcsharry opened the scoring for the Americans with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:33 with a helper from his teammate Fary. Houlihan deposited a goal at 7:23 with helpers from his linemates, Janke and Goodman. Janke netted a goal at 17:05 with assists from Truex and Thomas.
In the second period, Houlihan put in a goal at 10:25 with assists from his linemates, Rath and Goodman. Parker scored a goal at 16:56 with a helper from his defensive partner, Thomas. Braxton quickly followed with a goal at 17:53 with helpers from Janke and Truex. Truex quickly followed with a goal at 18:45 with an assist from fellow Americans forward Goodman.
During the third period, Rinckey netted a goal at 16:44 with assists from Braxton and Houlihan.
