Open Your Home, Join Our Hockey Family
Join the ICEDOGS family and play a vital role in the success of our organization.
Hosting a player is about more than just providing a place to stay — it’s about offering a second home to a young athlete who is chasing their dream. Billeting creates meaningful, lasting relationships and helps shape the future of our players both on and off the ice.
What is Billeting?
-
Billet families provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home for an ICEDOGS player during the hockey season.
-
Players typically stay with billet families from early August through March or April, depending on the team’s playoff run.
-
The experience is mutually rewarding, often resulting in lasting bonds that extend beyond the hockey season.
What to Expect from Players
-
Players become part of your family, sharing daily life and often serving as positive role models for younger children.
-
They are expected to:
-
Follow house rules
-
Maintain respectful behavior
-
Uphold the high standards of the ICEDOGS organization—at home, at the rink, in school, at work, and in the community.
-
What Billet Families Receive
-
$400 monthly stipend per player to help offset expenses
-
Two season tickets per player housed

An opportunity to become part of the wider ICEDOGS community
