Tristan Henrichs had two goals to lead the Billings Bulls to a 7-4 victory over the Bozeman Icedogs.
Henrichs scored on the power play at 7:10 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Bozeman and again while on the power play 51 seconds into the third to make the score 3-3.
Bozeman was unable to stop Billings from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bulls eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Billings surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Bulls have scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign.
Billings also got points from Matt Myers, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Nick Rizzo, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Alex Lundstrom, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Billings also had goals scored by Austin Lange and TJ Theodosopoulos, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Billings were Ian Wiljanen, who had three and Ralfs Karelis, Steven Thompson, Josh Pena, and Cameron Birklid, who contributed one each.
The Icedogs forced Billings goalie Alexander Meagher to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.
Bozeman was led by Kegan Couture, who had one goal and one assist. Couture scored on the power play 16:00 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Bozeman. The Icedogs had gained a power play chance when Henrichs was whistled for head contact. Coleton Anderson provided the assist. Others who scored for Bozeman included Kyler Chartier, Ryan Erickson, and Kevin Steffey, who scored one goal each. In addition, Bozeman received assists from Gunnar Mogck, who had three and Dalton Rickard and Jake Nelson, who each chipped in one.
The Bulls\’ Meagher stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Billings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Denijs Romanovskis rejected 30 shots on goal for Bozeman. The Icedogs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
