Couture and Mogck a 1-2 Punch – Feb. 23

Frontier Star of the Week:KEGAN COUTURE – Bozeman Icedogs

Bozeman leading scorer Kegan Couture, 20, had a big week as he helped the Icedogs to two wins in three games during the week. The native of Pequot Lakes, MN, began the week with two assists in Thursday’s 3-2 win at Glacier. On Friday, Couture (5’10/175) had four assists in a 7-2 win. The Icedogs were edged in the final game of the weekend, a 2-1 loss at home against 1st place Yellowstone. On top of all that, Couture played in the 2016 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Frontier Division team earlier in the week. His 63 points leads the Bozeman team so far this season. "Kegan had a very good week this week playing six games in seven days in three different cities, which can be very tiring. After all that, putting up the numbers he has shows his resilience as well as his work ethic and ability to overcome tough odds.  That is the type of player that makes up a very good hockey player at any level, including college,” said Bozeman Head Coach Mark Vichorek.

2nd Star: Gunnar Mogck, F, Bozeman Icedogs
