A hat trick by Kegan Couture was the highlight in Icedogs\’ 7-2 win against Glacier.
Couture notched his first tally 10:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:33 into the second and at 17:57 into the third.
The Bozeman Icedogs forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. Bozeman surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. Glacier was unable to stop the Icedogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Bozeman eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Icedogs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Bozeman has scored at the pace of 2.3 goals per game during the current campaign.
Bozeman also got points from Kyler Chartier, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Bozeman included Bryce Meckes, Walker Lowery, and Austin Charnholm, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Gunnar Mogck, who had three and Liam Millar and Ryan Erickson, who each chipped in one.
Glacier forced the Icedogs goalie Denijs Romanovskis to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.
Romanovskis recorded 41 saves for Bozeman. The Icedogs registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Bozeman ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lowery was ejected from the game. Glacier\’s Nolan Slager stopped 27 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Glacier incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
