Carver Thompson came up big, stopping 43 of 48 shots throughout the game. The Bozeman Icedogs took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Austin Charnholm.
Jacob Boje delivered for his team with 2 goals. Tyler Prince had a busy night with 2 goals and Vadim Zubkov contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).
In the first, Charnholm opened the scoring for Bozeman with a goal at 3:59 with helpers from teammates Burrell and Patten. Charnholm deposited a goal at 10:26 with assists from Patten and Hanley. Prince quickly followed with a goal at 11:05 with helpers from his linemates, Dennison and Zubkov. Prince put in a goal at 15:45 with an assist from defenseman Kirk.
In the second, Boje answered for Bozeman with a goal at 2:41 with helpers from Patten and Hanley. Boje scored a goal at 13:39 with assists from Blatter and Hanley. Zobel quickly followed with a goal at 13:49.
During the third, Charnholm answered for the Icedogs with a goal at 9:40 with helpers from Franklin and Hanley. Zubkov quickly followed with a goal at 10:13 with assists from Dennison and Kirk. Charnholm quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:30 with helpers from Mcgarrah and Patten. Dennison answered for Missoula with a goal at 19:08 with an assist from fellow Junior Bruins forward Zubkov.
Bozeman’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Thompson’s big night as he stopped 43 of the 48 shots he faced. Thompson’s counterpart, Yoder, also had a big night, managing to stop 46 of 52, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Bozeman Icedogs’ record to (5-38-1-0).
